Tammy Newton Co-Owner & Director – Hokitika Base
Alongside husband Matt, Tammy is also from an aviation family, with her father being a helicopter pilot in the RFNZAF then later a deer recovery pilot at Mt Hutt Station and her brother being a helicopter pilot overseas.
Tammy runs the front office and handles customer service at the Hokitika Gorge base with daughter Lilly Newton. Although Tammy is co-owner and director of PHL, her background is in the hospitality industry as a chef, which means, Tammy is often whipping up yummy treats for the staff, visitors and guests usually with veges from her garden and meat from the farm.
