Department of Conservation approved helicopter operatorPHL carry out approx 200 hours helicopter flying per year for the Department of Conservation in various areas of New Zealand. We perform many varied tasks from weed control to precision lifting of building materials and general supplies.

PHL are experienced in helicopter operations in close proximity to archaeological sites, protected bird habitats and environmentally sensitive areas.

Our staff completed the White Cliffs Walkway on Ngati Tama land. During this project, regular consultation with Ngati Tama caretaker was carried out to ensure we did not encroach on any significant archaeological sites.

PHL completed the Ahukawakawa Swamp Track which is a fragile ecological site and great care was taken to avoid any movements outside of the construction area.
